The first day began with the arrival of guests at the renowned Pueblo Pibil restaurant in Tixkokob, famous for its appearances on Tastemade and Las Crónicas del Taco on Netflix. This place is a true tribute to traditional Yucatecan cuisine, where ancestral flavors are presented with excellence and authenticity. Guests were transported in comfortable Suburban vehicles by Mayan Heritage, ensuring the experience started with the utmost comfort.
Upon arrival at Pueblo Pibil, guests immersed themselves in the deepest culinary tradition of the region: the ancient pib technique, which involves cooking food underground. “This restaurant has a beautiful history and the recipes have been passed from generation to generation.” – Sandra Notario.
Later, guests had the chance to participate firsthand by unearthing their own miniature cochinita pibil, experiencing the technique on a smaller scale.
